Sounds familiar! I would suggest read alot as a mother to get a vision and get support.
Get a mentor if you can pay for one--search and ask around. We all should have people to walk us through this new territory!
Read A CAll to Brilliance! Read  SelfDesign ( I amreading it right now)
Listen to as many CORE and LOL talks as possible to see how other people do this well.

PRAY and STUDY scriptures!

Read Headgates on line--to see how another mother does this.
Study Unschooling principles because that is what we are doing in many regards. Creating a stimulating environment and letting go.
Trusting in their inner being.
Question your assumptions on children and what they need and on learning in general.

OH read Relaxed Homeschooling by Mary Hood!! SUPER BOOK. She has Mentor websight too--I think it might be free. Super lady.

We have to retrain our thinking our CORE!

I think we dont trust in them to know what they need. We put too much pressure on ourselves to PUT things ON THEM. I have found that reading aloud to them is super important and then they can have more time to do their own reading and projects. KIDS will feel inner and outer pressure to  achieve without YOU putting it on them. It might come later. SCHOOL is artificial. IT is an environment of "awards" "manipulation" and unbalanced living. TOO much time on certain things and NO time on others that are important or vital to happy living. We can CREATE the family/the learning we want! wow.
