Sounds familiar! I would suggest read alot as a mother to get a vision and get support.
Get a mentor if you can pay for one--search and ask around. We all should have people to walk us through this new territory!
Read A CAll to Brilliance! Read  SelfDesign ( I amreading it right now)
Listen to as many CORE and LOL talks as possible to see how other people do this well.

PRAY and STUDY scriptures!

Read Headgates on line--to see how another mother does this.
Study Unschooling principles because that is what we are doing in many regards. Creating a stimulating environment and letting go.
Trusting in their inner being.
Question your assumptions on children and what they need and on learning in general.

OH read Relaxed Homeschooling by Mary Hood!! SUPER BOOK. She has Mentor websight too--I think it might be free. Super lady.

We have to retrain our thinking our CORE!

I think we dont trust in them to know what they need. We put too much pressure on ourselves to PUT things ON THEM. I have found that reading aloud to them is super important and then they can have more time to do their own reading and projects. KIDS will feel inner and outer pressure to  achieve without YOU putting it on them. It might come later. SCHOOL is artificial. IT is an environment of "awards" "manipulation" and unbalanced living. TOO much time on certain things and NO time on others that are important or vital to happy living. We can CREATE the family/the learning we want! wow.

miswak..

I have been wanting to start..implement...forever put in our blood that this is the only way to live...is miswaking...it has been tuff.

mom told me today that in one of her lectures, a woman told farhat hashmi to use miswak to get rid of hypothyroidism! (u miswak and go all the way back until u gag).. too good to be true, huh? it feels like it..but i believe that if u start this sunnah with the firm belief in its benefits cuz our Rasul has said so, it will heal anything and everything...strange how strongly i feel that yet don't implement it.. is this hypocricy?

anyhow, i dug some info on it...here r some links to look into soon..

NO PROGRESS can truly be made, in any sort of joyful or even efficient manner, if the FOUNDATION is MISSING. hint-hint ;)

LUV it! I can think of so many things that can be applied here...go back and dig at the foundation...

tjed- things i want for my kids...

a mother on tjedmuse forum expressed what she wants for her kids...

"My desire for him has always been to love and serve God, view learning as part of everyday life forever, and have joy in what he was doing."

that leads me to my vision....i've outlined how others have expressed their visions for their kids and there are lots of elements that vibe with mine, but i have yet to verbalize and concrete-alize (word??) my own vision...my very own personal vision as i am today...for myself, my family and my kids...

you, not them...that is the tjed moto. it is sooo difficult...

protecting core phase

"Maybe homeschool was boring or slower for her and so she loves her school but I hope it is because I protected her core and love of learning phase. They had lots and lots of time to read and learn and just be with the family."

TJED...LEMI info

From a post from tjedmuse about what LEMI does/is:

I am not sure if I can help but will do my best. (And I hope I don’t offend you by sending this to the yahoo groups because the more I talk to people the more I answer the same questions and your question shared just may help another person struggling)

I understand your struggle. I decided that if I did not have the money to dive into college again then I would just start reading the books myself and create my own scholar phase. What I learned was I did not have the skills I needed for that step. I pushed myself anyhow. Luckily, soon after that I joined the calls offered by LEMI and began to see what I was missing.

I would agree that LEMI has very little information about what their program is about on the website. One of the new things in the works is that Brenda Haws is working on developing conference calls to help share information and experiences that she has gained through LEMI. She has been a wonderful help to me and also others in her work. What LEMI does is very difficult to post on a website because it is a simulation so to speak. The training is to show you how to mentor by mentoring. To show you what scholar skills you are missing not but a test or list of check off items but by doing it and having you see for yourself what skills you are missing. To just put their items online might feel more helpful to us that are wondering if LEMI is the right next training for us but I fear many of us would not see the real power of the program and discount it. I know I would. The more I learn about LEMI through experience the more I understand this.

I myself do not know a lot of people out there in TJEd personally. Of the people I have talked to about LEMI every one of them has said that is was a wonderful learning experience and that it helped them tremendously.
This might not apply to you but it did to me: What I have had to learn is patience. I would like it all now and am frustrated with the waiting. I had to learn that I had to put off what I wanted to do (go to GWC and gain my Liberal Arts Education) until I have learned the skills that will help me. Yet I did not want to stand still either. I tried to do it myself and found myself frustrated and working harder and not gaining much from it. I had to step back and as Dr. DeMille challenged in the 8th Key recording to write out where I was and what was my next step. Then focus on that. In the mean time I really focused on making sure I understood my foundation. I know that my weakness is to hurry up and get to the next step instead of really focusing on the step I am on. So I started talking it up to my friends. I started a book group (I can’t call it a colloquium because it was far from it – I did not have the skills to do this), next I started talking about the 7 Keys over and over again. As I did that people would ask me questions that I could not explain very well. So I went back and studied closer and closer. We would meet as mom’s group and discuss what we thought and that really helped me to clarify myself. The more I did this the more I was able to rework through the ideas and make them mine. I don’t know that I could run off the 7 Keys in an instant but I think I am BEGINNING to understand them and be able to explain what they are. I studied the tapes over and over again, I have going through Diann Jessop’s program alone and with a friend and with a group, each time I began to understand it better and implement in my life more fully. I also began developing a group of those that were looking for new ways and ideas. We are moving slow but it is beginning to take hold. People are really looking for what is the best for their family. Developing these groups if not only critical for you it is critical for your family who craves to be with their peers.

I found that as I started working on putting these items in my life that I stopped doing some of the things that were taking up so much time. I had way too many activities. My children loved their friends but we were not accomplishing the goals we had set when we joined the group and the commitment of my time was huge. My children learned something incredible too when we pulled out. There were a few that were like us and they missed them deeply and it was for the reason that we really needed: They missed not the activity but talking about the books they read! I was shocked and then determined to pull those key families into our life. The way opened to do this: The LEMI Project: Key of Liberty. We will be offering in my area this next year. I found that when I talked to those families that my families missed the most they were interested in the ideas also.

This is kind of long but I hope that it helps others also. I don’t know everything about TJEd or LEMI or Face to Face but I am beginning to see some incredible things and know that Dr. DeMille is right you have to dive in all the way before you can begin to see the whole picture and make a decision about how you are going to do TJEd. It is difficult to understand without doing. So my advice is if you can afford it go to LEMI (I can’t imagine that you will not learn something to help you on your journey) AND to start a group of your own, even if it is with one family to teach and share ideas with. The best way to learn in my book is to try and teach it to someone else.

I hope that helps you and if you would like to talk with Brenda Haws (who started in CA and might now some of the groups out there) please let me know. She has offered to help all that she can. Many blessing and good wishes. Michele

healthy teeth sources on web...

There is a yahoo group where mom talks about different issues with their kids' teeth and one mom commented on her experience with her 4yo child and her analysis really put things in perspective for me. When I started doing this as a routine last year, I was full of doubts 'cuz my children reallllllly had bad cavities. I was shocked for so long at what happened 'cuz our family's diet wasn't bad at all by most standards. No candies (my kids were really good back before school!!), LOTS of veges, nuts, fruits, milk, extra. & I went to the dentist and she made me feel even worse (naturally)...I became numb for a little while, like i was such a horrible mom..How could i have let this slip past me??? what happend ??/ but then after reading the book...it was the diet, but lack of the essential stuff rather than our diet..

here r links that i found helpful:
